Atlanta, GA | November 1, 2017 - Stonebranch Inc., a leading provider of modern workload automation solutions, is pleased to be working with Lands' End, an online and catalog retailer of casual and business clothing, home goods, uniforms, and luggage. This partnership enabled Lands’ End to replace their CA Workload Automation ESP job scheduler running on IBM’s Mainframe z/OS and transition to a modern workload automation solution.
When it became apparent CA Workload Automation ESP needed to be replaced, the Lands’ End scheduling team explored alternative solutions before identifying Stonebranch’s Universal Automation Center as the ideal automation engine for their post-Mainframe environment.
“Universal Automation Center had precisely the functionality and capabilities we were looking for in a workload automation solution," says Lands’ End Mainframe Systems Programmer II, Brian Lemanski. "The price offered tremendous value and the in-house knowledge at Stonebranch with regards to transitioning from ESP was an additional benefit.”
Implementation went smoothly with minimal impact on Lands’ End’s operating environment. With Universal Automation Center, the key benefits reaped by Lands’ End were ease of use, improved maintenance, and the ability to mass update without affecting active servers.
“We are no longer dependent on messages to the z/OS master console, or subject to them being deleted accidentally or disappearing because the console was set to roll/delete,” said Lemanski. “The custom dashboard facilitates correct and successful monitoring. I would definitely recommend Stonebranch to other organizations looking to improve on automation.”
"Our growth in clients over the past year shows the expanding demand for real-time and event driven workload automation technology and transition services," said Dr. Detlef Purschke, Chief Executive Officer of Stonebranch. "Most organizations are now aware of the need to automate, manage and track complex IT processes across the enterprise from a single platform. Empowering Lands’ End in this regard is true to our core mission to offer best-in-class return on automation. We look forward to working closely with them, ensuring mutual success and underpinning Lands’ End’s digital transformation with excellent automation technology and services."
