Beyond core hydraulic services, the company offers comprehensive procurement and warehousing services, fluid analysis, and the development of custom components and prototypes. 

Operating in a fast-paced industrial environment with complex logistics and tight timelines, the company has relied on SAP to power its efficient enterprise processes since 2008.

Challenges

After introducing SAP in 2008, HANSA-FLEX initially relied on standard SAP scheduling tools to manage background processing. 

As job volumes grew, this approach became increasingly inefficient and resource-intensive, making centralized control and transparency essential. 

With around 30,000 jobs running daily — and a planned transition to SAP S/4HANA — the company needed a sustainable automation strategy to support long-term growth.

The Search

As operational demands continued to grow, HANSA-FLEX began looking for a dedicated solution to centrally manage its SAP batch workloads. The company required a platform capable of handling complex job chains while integrating seamlessly with its SAP environment.

The Solution

Since 2012, HANSA-FLEX has relied on the Stonebranch solution to centrally control all SAP background processing, including critical workflows such as MRP runs and financial batch jobs. The platform delivers structured scheduling, centralized monitoring, and automated error handling across daily operations. 

In 2021, HANSA-FLEX successfully transitioned from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. Thanks to the flexible architecture of the Stonebranch solution, the migration went smoothly — preserving established automation processes while supporting the modernized SAP landscape.
