Stonebranch Online Education Forum, hosted from May 14, 2020 to June 18, 2020, was a virtual event series designed for all customers, partners and analysts across the globe. Reed Elsevier is a long-time Stonebranch customer, and Doug Perseghetti and Scott Haas are frequent favorites at in-person Stonebranch user group events. How to Integrate UAC with any IT System in Your Environment
In this on-demand session, Director of Solution Engineering Moritz Roos presents Stonebranch’s Universal Tasks, which allow for countless API integrations customized to the needs of each user. He introduces the UAC as a Universal Integration Platform, able to seamlessly integrate both for upstream and downstream systems. Solution Engineer Alex Sushko presented Infrastructure-as-code as a form of self-service resource provisioning in this informative session. Alex posited that as IT environments become more complex and IT teams require more tools for the management and provisioning of resources and systems, infrastructure-as-code expands operations’ control and visibility while empowering end users with self-service cloud provisioning via tools they natively work from. In his session, Helmut Dahmen, Director of Product Management, shared the many benefits of combining robotic process automation (RPA) with workload automation (WLA) to achieve an entirely new scope of automation and orchestration across the enterprise. Job-as-Code for DevOps. Move Workflows to Source Control Management Repositories
During this session, engineer Alex Sushko presented Job-as-Code for DevOps, which enables enterprises to seamlessly integrate automation into the native solutions they work in every day. Alex demonstrated how to use a jobs-as-code method to fuse the Universal Automation Center with your DevOps process and seamlessly transfer any UAC objects like tasks, triggers, and scripts to SCM repositories like Github. In addition, you will learn how to check out files to any IDE, such as Visual Studio, to modify or create new configurations, as well as propagate changes to the next environment, such as QA and Production. Michael Ohl, Team Lead IT of United Fire Group (UFG) insurance company highlighted several key ways to utilize member services in the UC environment. Michael discussed why UFG uses member services to reduce the complexity of enabling self-service across the organization.
