Boost Business Performance: SAP Automation with Stonebranch
A live demo walkthrough of SAP automation in Universal Automation Center — from ABAP job scheduling and BTP integration to ServiceNow self-service and event-driven workflows.
SAP environments span multiple systems, user roles, and platforms. Scheduling teams need control. Business users need simplicity. Developers need a code-first approach. And the automation layer connecting it all needs to handle ECC, S/4HANA, RISE, BTP, BW, and every application they touch.
In this webinar, Nils Buer, VP of Solution Management, and Jana Perumal, Senior Solution Engineer, walk through a full set of live SAP automation demos using Stonebranch Universal Automation Center. The session covers the breadth of what UAC handles across the SAP landscape — from classical ABAP job scheduling with dynamic and temporary variants to newer BTP-hosted applications like SAP Integrated Business Planning and Data Services.
The main demo workflow shows UAC orchestrating across on-premise SAP ECC, SAP RISE on the SAP Cloud, and BW4/HANA from a single controller — running parallel ABAP extracts, transferring results to Azure and AWS cloud storage, triggering an SAP BTP IBP job, routing approval through Microsoft Teams, creating a ServiceNow incident automatically on job failure, and recovering via PagerDuty. The SAP Event Monitor demo shows event-driven job triggering based on SM62 events in real time.
Nils then demos the ServiceNow service catalog integration — creating an SAP job with ABAP program, variant, batch user, and daily schedule directly from a ServiceNow request form. The job is approved via Slack, pushed to the Universal Controller automatically, and run immediately to verify the configuration.
The session also covers the enhanced SAP task view, which mirrors the SM36 transaction for business users with zero learning curve, the Xpress Conversion Tool for automating migration from BMC, Redwood, UC4, and other major schedulers, and the 7-step migration methodology applied across hundreds of enterprise projects.
