Gartner defines service orchestration and automation platforms (SOAPs) as solutions that enable organizations to manage complex workloads, workflows, resource provisioning, and data pipelines across complex hybrid IT environments. These platforms combine workflow orchestration, workload automation (WLA), data orchestration, DevOps automation, and citizen automation to deliver automated IT and business services.
