INDESCA BASICS

COURSE GOAL:
Upon completion of the course, the participant will have a basic understanding of the Indesca system. This includes initiating a process on a remote system, while monitoring the process from a central host. You will understand basic configuration and input options.

CONTENT:

• Architectural overview and terminology
• Process definition, initiation and termination
• Methods for configuration and basic options
• Network and manager fault tolerance
• Hands-on lab

PARTICIPANTS:

• Schedulers or those responsible for process creation and scheduling
• Operators or those responsible for control and monitoring of processes
• Administrators or systems programmers who are responsible for the overall health of the system and who maintain and run the software

PREREQUISITES:
Participants must have knowledge of the operating systems from which processes are initiated.
When training on z/OS, basic knowledge of JCL and ISPF Edit is necessary.

CLASS SIZE: Maximum of 10 people
