Objectives Senior Software Engineer

Your mission as being a Senior Software Engineer of our development team, will be to develop and manage great software solutions around BSS domain, by being always creative thinking, motivated and passionate in continuous learning. Deliver great solutions, ensuring team collaboration and velocity, high quality and timely delivery for our software development projects.

  • Actively participate in our software development projects as lead developer and by managing the entire software development life cycle end to end. That includes planning, design, implementation, QA and documentation
  • Ensure that modern development practices such as TDD and testing automation are fully embraced, used and understood within our development team
  • Become an important building block of our development team, by demonstrating passion in excellence, determination, ownership of delivered work and accountability
  • Mentor and provide guidance to software engineers. Contribute to the technical grown of our development team by instilling collaborative work ethic and teamwork spirit. Meet team targets, by working collaboratively and establishing fruitful and joyful communication with your peers
  • Develop and enhance forward-thinking IT automation frameworks and tools
  • Provide reliable support to sales people with presentations, solution descriptions and effort estimations
  • Implementation of PoCs

Key Responsibilities Senior Software Engineer

  • Contribution to all phases of the development life-cycle and active participation as a lead developer
  • Development of configuration scripts, add-ons, plug-ins and platform customizations
  • Generation of solution documents and technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
  • Continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies to bring additional value in our software solutions
  • Configuration and maintenance of software and scripts which support development activities. That includes build, unit level testing, automated testing and deployment of code
  • Creation and maintenance of documentation like coding standards and processes such as peer reviews, configuration management, version control, testing, deployment and operations
  • Daily technical guidance and monitoring of software development team

Qualifications / Expectations Senior Software Engineer

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Expert understanding of Test Driven Development, OOP and design patterns in at least one of (preferably more) the following languages: Python, Java, C++ with at least 5+ years of proven, production-grade software development expertise
  • Knowledge and experience of 2+ years (modelling and architecture) of SQL and relational databases (Oracle)
  • Knowledge and experience of testing automation frameworks with proven track record in their application and maintenance
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Excellent Unix shell scripting skills
  • Exceptional analytical thinking and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Great experience using version control systems (preferable Subversion)
  • Great understanding of Operating Systems and experience with system programming (Linux/Unix/Windows) such as process, pipe, signal, TCP/IP, share memory, etc.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development practices
  • Experience in continuous integration/delivery software (preferable Jenkins)
  • Experience using project management software such as Redmine and Jira
  • Experience with Windows, Linux/Unix platforms
