Software Engineer

  • Design, implement, test and document solutions that meet business specifications and being followed by best practices
  • Maintain and support existing products
  • Develop and enhance forward-thinking IT automation frameworks and tools

  • Meet team targets, by working collaboratively and establishing fruitful and joyful communication with your peers

Responsibilities

  • Produce maintainable software components (add-ons, plug-ins), applications and platform customizations
  • Apply technical expertise to investigate and resolve software issues (troubleshooting & bug fixing)
  • Work on maintenance, bug fixing and support tasks of existing products
  • Configuration and maintenance of software and scripts which support development activities. That includes build, unit level testing, automated testing and deployment of code
  • Creation and maintenance of software documentation

Qualifications / Expectations

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Understanding of Test Driven Development, OOP and design patterns in at least one of (preferably more) the following languages: Python, Java, C++ with at least 2 years of proven, software development expertise
  • Knowledge and experience of SQL and relational databases (preferable Oracle)
  • Experience with system programming (Linux/Unix/Windows) such as process, pipe, signal, TCP/IP, share memory, etc.
  • Experience with Unix shell scripting
  • Experience with Windows, Linux/Unix platforms
  • Experience in using version control systems
  • Experience in software documentation
  • Experience in testing automation frameworks
  • Strong Analytical thinking and troubleshooting capabilities

Nice to have Qualifications

  • Experience in Agile Software Development practices
  • Experience in using project management software (e.g. Redmine, Jira)
  • Experience in ETL tools (e.g. Talend Studio)
  • Experience in Continuous Integration/Delivery software (e.g. Jenkins)
