Senior Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) - EMEA

Your Part in this Growth Story:

Stonebranch is looking for a Senior Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) to be based in Frankfurt, Germany (EMEA Headquarters) who’s interested in playing in the explosive IT automation market.

You will be responsible for resolving complex prospect problems remotely or onsite throughout the EMEA region, with a strong focus on the German speaking market. The selling model focuses on our toolset, Universal Automation Center. A strong Workload Automation background is preferred for this position but not mandatory, as the product knowledge can be learned with relative ease. A deep understanding of corporate IT and the involved soft- and hardware solutions is essential to understand the automation needs of our prospects and to best position our products within these complex environments. Use of excellent technical presentation skills is required to be demonstrated throughout performance of the role.

Your Impact on The Organization:

  • Research and understand customers’ and prospects business and technical automation needs
  • Demonstrate, validate Stonebranch software fit and handle pre-sale discovery
  • Present proposed solutions to customers
  • Review, understand and qualify customer’s IT processes
  • Develop compelling value proposition to identified needs
  • Respond to customers’ technical questions
  • Attend conferences and trade shows to connect with customers and prospects
  • Support the sales process on the technical side
  • Confer with delivery team on design and solutions
  • Collect market and customer requirements on ongoing customer visits
  • Develop customer proposals
  • Suggest products, technical architecture and operational best practices
  • Attend to customer requests for information on RFIs and RFPs completion
  • Demonstrate to leverage best practices and offer insight into client business and industry verticals
  • Ensure successful POC’s – proof of concepts, pilot projects and product installations
  • Determine, resolve and communicate technical and business presales issues to presales management
  • Close accounts determined by sales and technical management
  • Assist regional business development activities
  • Install and maintain demos and software on presales equipment
  • Engage in product training to maintain high product knowledge

Requirements

What You Will Bring to the Team:

  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales or solution consulting related activities in the IT industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics/Information Systems
  • Experience with using business tools such as Salesforce, Office 365, SharePoint, Confluence
  • Desire to grow with the company’s rapid growth strategy/vision
  • Experience in Workload Automation (WLA) and/or Managed File Transfer is preferred but not mandatory, as Stonebranch product knowledge can be learned with relative ease
  • Added value if candidate possesses an understanding of several workload automation products which we replace, including products from BMC, CA Technologies, ASG, Atomic, Redwood, IBM and others
  • Experience configuring enterprise-level software applications for integration with our product and as preparation for technical sales demos would be seen as a plus

  • Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure and Operating System (Windows, Linux) administration
  • Development and scripting experience SQL, Python, Shell, PowerShell, Web Services
  • Strong presentation skills in a software demo/pre-sales environment
  • Strong analytical thinking
  • Able to solve problems systematically and efficiently
  • An excellent customer service attitude and the ability to interact with customers in a professional manner are required
  • Ability to work independently and remain focused on quality
  • Up to 50% travel could be required
