The Systems Engineer is responsible for providing presales technical support to the Stonebranch Sales process and team.

Job Description

Excellent opportunity for competent and experienced Systems Engineer. The Systems Engineer has in depth knowledge of Stonebranch products, concepts, and strategy as well as in depth knowledge of the workload management marketplace, vendors and competing solutions. His/her role is to effectively introduce and demonstrate Stonebranch’s solutions to customers and prospective customers and analyze their requirements to deliver high quality, effective solutions.

The Systems Engineer must be able to work as part of a team in an open environment, working closely with cross-functional, internal departments (Stonebranch Management, Account Executives, Professional Services and Accounting, etc.), as well as with customers and partners. Stonebranch’s Systems Engineers are expected to demonstrate competence quickly and to strive to stay abreast of technology advances.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to suit the opportunity and audience.
• Manage the Stonebranch Proof-Of-Concept (POC) process through discovery, analysis, scope and delivery.
• Assist the sales team is analyzing opportunities and articulating technical and business benefits.
• Demonstrate technical competence in the Stonebranch products.
• Develop and manage reference customers, through high quality professional client relationships.

• Experience and knowledge of Workload Management disciplines.
• Knowledge and understanding of project management principles.
• Experience and operational knowledge of the following platforms: z/OS, i5/OS, HP NonStop, Linux, UNIX (HP, IBM, Sun), Windows, VMS
• Ability to create JCL, batch scripts and shell scripts.

Education/Experience

Minimum 10 years experience in IT with 10 years experience specifically in a presales role within the software industry, preferably systems management. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. MBA preferred.
